
ABOUT KRAS G12D MUTATION
KRAS is among the most frequently mutated proto-oncogenes in cancer, with mutation noted in an estimated 14.3% of malignancies at diagnosis1,2. Mutations to the G12 codon are among the most frequently observed KRAS mutations, with the G12D mutation accounting for an estimated 29% of all KRAS mutations in cancer3. KRAS G12D mutations are particularly prominent in PDAC, and CRC, found in approximately 40% and 15% of patients, respectively.
Globally, pancreatic cancer is the 12th most common malignancy and the 6th leading cause of cancer mortality4. A total of 510,992 new cases of pancreatic cancer and 467,409 related deaths were reported in 2022 worldwide.
